IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO MAKE SOMEBODY FANCY OR EVEN FALL IN LOVE WITH ANOTHER PERSON.

It just doesn't happen.

Plus if you said that you'd helped two people get together it just means that you saw it coming like everyone else but you're nosey enough to intervene. If he doesn't fancy her or the other way around you can't force that relationship upon them.
